Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a vital component of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aimed at providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or support needs, enabling them to live independently in their own homes or within the community. This support can include help with daily tasks, personal care, and developing essential life skills.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a specific category under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia, aimed at providing suitable living arrangements for individuals with significant disabilities. We designed housing to support people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.

In-Home Support

In-home support is an assistance and services provided to individuals within the comfort of their own homes. This can include help with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and companionship. In-home support is often tailored to the specific needs of individuals, especially those who may have difficulty with mobility or other challenges that impact their ability to carry out daily tasks independently.

Individual Living Option

An individual living option is a typical service, where housing arrangement or accommodation is provided that is designed to meet the specific needs and preferences of an individual. This could include living independently in a private residence, sharing a home with others, or residing in a supportive housing environment tailored to the unique requirements of that particular person. The goal is to provide a living situation that aligns with the individual's lifestyle and support needs.

Day Program

A day program for disability clients is a structured and supportive environment that offers various activities, services, and social interactions during the day. These programs are designed to enhance the well-being and development of individuals with disabilities. Activities may include educational sessions, skill-building exercises, recreational opportunities, and socializing with peers. Day programs aim to promote independence, social inclusion, and overall quality of life for participants.

Community Participation

Community participation involves individuals actively engaging in various activities, events, and social interactions within their community. For people with disabilities, community participation programs aim to promote inclusion, social connections, and a sense of belonging. These programs may include vocational training, recreational activities, volunteering, and opportunities to contribute to community life. The goal is to enhance the individual's participation in society and foster a supportive and inclusive community environment.

Medical Appointments

Attending a medical appointment involves visiting a healthcare professional for assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of health-related concerns. It's important to communicate openly with your healthcare provider, share relevant information, and follow any instructions or recommendations they provide. Regular medical appointments are crucial for preventive care and managing existing health conditions.
